Praise to the Father King Norodom Sihanouk.

The AAA (Association des Amis d'Angkor) joins the Cambodian people to tribute to the King Father Norodum Sihanouk.
His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk left the world stage after 90 years of a rich and eventful life. Fully owned by the passion of his country, he made the Kingdom a modern nation, proud and ambitious. At the exit of an unprecedented crisis he has again mobilize the international community to establish peace, organize Reconstruction and introduce the major project of the Preservation and Development of Angkor, for which Ankgkor Friends Association was created.
This special bulletin is our humble widness, friendship and support, especially to Her Majesty the Queen Mother Norodom Sihanouk Monineath, to His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, to His Excellency Prime Minister Hun Sen, and to all of our Cambodians friends.

Angkor and Water symposium : Hystory and Become


The May 04-2012 symposium, organized by AAA (Association des Amis Angkor), the SIAVB (Syndicat Intercommunal de l'Assainissement de la Vallée de la Bièvre) and the Hydratec company, aims:

1. to present the historical context (Angkor water "history"), the current context of water sharing between agriculture on  Angkor site and Siem Reap urban development and water policies from potential financial partners for this project,

2. to present APSARA project (Public Authority for the Protection and Development of the Angkor Region) and the results of  Hydratec expertise,

3. to allow a meeting and exchange around this important project for Angkor site and its areas, including the safeguarding of monuments and water resources of Siem Reap area.


Three ICC experts of Angkor (International Coordinating Committee for the Safeguarding and Development of historic Angkor Site) will speak at the symposium, which the CIC secretary, Mr Azzedine Beschaouch.

The Hydratec expertise will be presented at the next ICC meeting in Siem Reap on early June 2012.
